Avi Levitt recognized as an Outstanding Educator

Congratulations to Rabbi Avi Levitt, Principal of the Rabbi Moshe H. Levinson Upper School, who has been selected as a University of Chicago Outstanding Educator Award winner.

Rabbi Levitt was nominated by Julia Book, '15, who plans to attend the University of Chicago after this year at the Migdal Oz seminary in Israel.

As it says in the letter notifying Rabbi Levitt, "Our students frequently tell us that they were influenced by a particular high school educator, someone who opened new vistas and realms of discovery, challenged them intellectually for the first time, or channeled their private interests into productive paths for intellectual growth."  This is certainly true for all of Rabbi Levitt's math students, who all received a 740 or higher on their SAT Subject tests last year.

Mazel tov, Rabbi Levitt, on this meaningful honor.
