Hippie Day

Ms. Plaza's 11th-grade AP class celebrated the fourth annual Hippie Day, marking the culmination of their rhetorical analyses of Joan Didion's Slouching Toward Bethlehem and Hunter S. Thompson's The Hippies, two different portraits of the hippies living in 1967 Haight-Ashbury. As always, Ms. Plaza brought brownies and Kool-Aid and began class with Are You Going to San Francisco, a very different vision of the "Summer of Love" than either Didion's  or Thompson's. #ChochmahAtBerman
